Frequently Asked Questions
How does microblading work?
Microblading uses a handheld tool with ultra fine needles to etch realistic hair strokes into the skin.
How long will my appointment take?
The initial microblading session will take anywhere from 2.5-3 hours. During this session, we will measure and draw out the shape of your brows for your approval first, paying attention to the shape and stye that you prefer, which ensures that you get a look that flatters your facial features the best. We will then choose a pigment color that suits your skin tone and hair color and begin microblading.
You will also want to schedule a touch-up appointment 6-8 weeks after your initial appointment. This appointment will take 1.5-2 hours.
How long does microblading last?
Microblading is a semi permanent technique. Microblading typically lasts 1-2 years, and its results and longevity depends on your skin type, lifestyle, skincare products and anti-aging treatments. Your eyebrows will fade 30-50% as they heal, so it is important that you attend your touch up appointment 6-8 weeks after your initial microblading appointment.
How long will it take my eyebrows to heal?
Your eyebrows will go through several different stages during the healing process. It is normal for patients to experience some scabbing on their skin, and the eyebrow area may appear slightly red after the procedure. It will take a full four weeks for the area to be completely healed, and for the eyebrow’s true color to show.
Is microblading painful?
The pain level for microblading is mild to none. A topical anesthetic cream will be applied to numb the area, and it will also be reapplied throughout the procedure.
What type of aftercare is involved?
You will want to apply an antiseptic ointment to your brows for seven days and try to keep your eyebrows dry for that time. It’s not recommended to tan, swim, wear makeup or sweat for 7-10 days after the procedure.
Can anyone have microblading done?
During your consultation with our microblading specialist, we will review any health concerns and rule out any potential contraindications.
